I am really pleased with my religion class. I was worried that because it wasn't the one I originally wanted, that I wouldn't like it, but I love the priest who teaches it, and he and I have already begun to talk. He's a short, kind man, and didn't know Notre Dame was across the street from Saint Mary's until I told him. I enjoyed the fact that he started class with prayer, and I think we will do that before every class.
During my lunch break, I ran down to Tesco to go shopping and stumbled upon a Euro store (like an American dollar store). It is my new favorite place. I'd been searching for plastic kitchen stuff everywhere and finally found it. I was able to get many of the things I needed for only a little over a euro, including an Irish flag to decorate my room, which I feel I need because of how empty my space is.
After classes, my friend Steph and I went to The Roost for a drink and to just talk to wind down from our stressful day. I found out she and I are really similar, and she's even from Grand Haven. Even though the club has student specials tonight, we all decided it would be best to turn in early. I only have two classes tomorrow, so I hope to go back in to town and maybe try a cafe for lunch. I'll leave you guys with this selfie I took before going out with Steph to show you how happy I am here. I hope all my friends and family back home are surviving with the cold. We may have harsh winds, but we don't have snow! Praying for everyone <3
